It has moisture absorption & slight taste of Formic Acid, it dissolves in water, slightly dissoves in ethanol, not dissoves in aether, Specific gravity 1.919, melting point 253 centigrade.
Application: It can be used to produce Formic Acid, Oxalic Acid, Formamide, Sodium Hyposulphite, Leather tanning agent, catalyzer, disinfector, Printing and dyeing reducer. It can also be used in concrete and drilling fluids.
